RT–Armed individuals in military Uniform speaking fluent English with no accent have been spotted in Mariupol in the aftermath of the rocket attack, fueling allegations that foreign private military contractors are serving among Ukrainian troops.
The port city in eastern Ukraine, under Kiev’s control, saw a surge of violence on Saturday, when several rockets hit a residential area in the east of the city, reportedly killing 30 civilians. Numerous videos from the scene showed destruction in the aftermath of the attack, for which local militia and Ukrainian troops blamed each other.
But among the footage shot in Mariupol, there are some videos showing armed men in military uniform, who speak English fluently.
One video on Youtube is apparently raw footage of a local news channel in Mariupol, Ukraine, which shows a man holding a carbine and tactical vest. As the correspondent points her microphone with a request to comment, the man covers his face with the other hand and says, “Out my face, Out my face.” It happens on the 38 second mark on the video below.
The other piece is longer and apparently shows another armed man in uniform sweeping the area for unexploded munitions. The man behind the camera is apparently a guide, as he speaks in English with a clear accent.

UNITED NATIONS (Reuters) – Russia prevented the U.N. Security Council on Saturday from criticizing statements by pro-Russian Ukrainian rebels and condemning an upsurge in violence that has claimed dozens of lives in Ukraine, council diplomats said.
Pro-Russian rebels have launched an offensive against the strategic port of Mariupol in eastern Ukraine, prompting warnings from the European Union and U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon.
Fighting has escalated in eastern Ukraine in recent days, and Russian President Vladimir Putin has blamed Kiev. The rebels have ruled out more peace talks. Western powers and Kiev blame Russia and the rebels for the fresh fighting.
A Rocket Attack In The Ukrainian City of Mariupol Leaves 30 Civilians Dead.
Most Americans are unaware and oblivious to the horrors that come from a perpetual state of war. Unfortunately, that’s the case in East Ukraine, where a brutal civil war has continually caused mass casualties of its citizens.
Just today, 30 Ukrainian civilians were killed by a barrage of rockets in the Ukrainian city of Mariupol. Several others were also severely injured in the rocket attack.
Ukrainian officials have stated that the pro-Russian separatists are responsible for the attack in the port city of Mariupol, but the separatists have denied any involvement and place the blame on Kiev forces.
According to The Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), the rockets came from pro-Russian-held areas.
Alexander Zakharchenko, head of the Donetsk’s People’s Republic, said his forces had not ordered “active operations near Mariupol until Saturday, Russian news organizations report. However, he also added that after Kiev authorities blamed the separatists for the attack, he ordered his troops to “neutralize” the positions of Ukrainian troops east of Mariupol.
In response to the attacks, NATO stated that “Russian troops in Eastern Ukraine are supporting these offensive operations” by supplying weapons to the separatists in East Ukraine–an accusation which NATO has not and did not provide any concrete proof.
So as us Americans enjoy the oblivious bubble that we live in, we should not forget that there are fellow humans who are suffering due to the horrors of war. A war that has the potential to spread beyond East Ukraine, and even Eastern Europe. That’s if cooler heads don’t prevail.
